Restoration of Kanlıca Yalı Mansion
The Yalı Mansion at Kanlıca coast was built in late Ottoman era. Having had reparations from past to today, the Yalı Mansion has been occupied by various institutions and persons in different time periods. The building is recently benefitted from as a guesthouse by the Undersecretary of Prime Ministry of Turkey. The Yalı Mansion has been restored and renovated by our company in 2001. Visual features of the historical building were preserved, and electrical and mechanical substructure was entirely renewed and modernized.
The historical Yalı Mansion consists of a total of 4 floors of which; a basement, ground floor, 1st story and an attic. Besides of the main building there are also dependant boathouse, servants’ outhouses, security and service areas present with the building. The total construction area belonging to the structure is 1.000 m2.
All necessary restoration works, either at external facades or indoor, were carried out throughout the project by paying utmost care to preserve the architectural and historical identity of the building.
Within the scope of renovation, appropriate material and craftsmanship were utilized for the historical identity of the building, and necessary renovation was accomplished indoors.
Together with restoration and renovation works; entire mechanical installation, fire extinction equipment, and ventilation and cooling systems were applied for the entire structure and annexes by utilizing the latest technological system solutions in response to the requirements. All-around renewal of the electricity network, lighting installations and fixtures, the grounding system, the lightning protection system, the fire detection and warning system, and CCTV camera systems of highest technology were implemented in order to fulfill the needs.
